(RNS) – The nature and extent of religious freedom in the United States has been a contested issue since the middle of the last century and, in recent years, a particularly sensitive one. Apart from court decisions and legal norms, who are your defenders of religious freedom? If you haven’t looked at the topic in the abstract, this quiz will help you gauge your reaction to some of the religious freedom issues the courts have grappled with.

Answer each of the statements in the comments section below with (a) for “yes”, (b) for “no”, (c) for “it depends” and (d) for “not sure”. A subsequent column will analyze the results.
