CHURCH PLANS 102 YEARS: Third Disciples of Christ Christian Church, 241 First St. SW, Warren, will celebrate the church’s 102nd anniversary with a musical Sunday afternoon.

MISSION TALK: Matthew and Kenedi (Bennett) Cross, who grew up in Southington and Warren respectively, do missionary work in Haiti and recently hosted a fundraising event. The Crosses will speak about their missionary work at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Cortland Trinity Baptist Church.

WHO IS JESUS? “Who is this Jesus? the course will be offered Thursdays at noon at the Howland Library, 9095 E, Market St. The free eight-week course will be led by Pastor Dan Barker. A detailed syllabus will be provided to facilitate group discussion. To register, call 330-637-1421.

VISION CONFERENCE: Greater Apostolic Faith Church, 3571 Tod Ave., NW, Warren, will host “Expectations of Leadership” 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today. PEACEFUL PRAYER RALLY: A “40 days for life” The Campaign to End Abortion will begin with a rally Wednesday at 6 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 129 E. Park Ave., Niles. PASTOR’S BIRTHDAY: Warren’s Second Baptist Church will celebrate the seventh pastoral anniversary of Pastor Todd and Lady Shameika Johnson at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker at 10 a.m. is Reverend Ezra Tillman of Flint, Michigan, and at 5 p.m. will be Elder Phillip Shealey of Covington, Ga.

FIRST FRIDAY CLUB: The second monthly First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown luncheon of the 2022-23 season will be held at 11:30 a.m. on October 6 at the Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road in Canfield. Britt Cooper, DMA, and the Walsh University Chamber Singers will present “Liturgical Music Through the Ages.”

MASS FOR LIFE: Bishop David Bonnar of the Diocese of Youngstown will celebrate a Diocesan Mass for Life at 5 p.m. on October 1 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel, Walsh University, 2020 E. Maple St., N. Canton . All are invited to pray for greater respect for human life at every stage and in all circumstances.
