‘It’s anti-American and socialist’: former NFL Slams League player’s vaccination mandate

Former NFL security Jack Brewer criticizes the league for coming as close as possible to forcing players to get the COVID-19 shot without actually forcing athletes to get the shot.

Brewer, talk with The Daily Wire, condemned the policies in place at the NFL as “un-American” and “socialist.”

“This is wrong,” he told the outlet. “It’s not American, and I think it sounds like the new NFL aligning with the socialist movements. I don’t agree with that.

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST OF THE DAY:

The retired Minnesota Vikings player made the comments just days after the NFL implemented strict vaccination protocols. Those who have been vaccinated can, for the most part, resume a pre-pandemic life: they no longer have to wear masks or undergo daily COVID-19 tests, they are allowed to travel, will be able to eat in the cafeteria with other vaccinated people and will not be subject to any restrictions on marketing, media or sponsorship opportunities.

However, players who refuse vaccination will be subjected to daily tests, will have to wear masks in all team facilities and when traveling they will be prohibited from using saunas and steam rooms, will not be able to leave their hotel room to eat in restaurants and will be prohibited from participating in marketing, media or sponsorship opportunities.

Brewer described politics as “your typical great leftist government movement.”

“I think that is obviously absurd and that it is based on deception,” he explained. “If this rule or message was based on the truth, I think NFL players are mature enough to be able to accept it. And I think if you start talking about what it really should be, and that’s player safety – at the end of the day, the league should focus on player safety. Player safety has everything to do with making sure players are protected from the virus and receiving proper health care. And the point is, there haven’t been any – not a single NFL player, a single professional athlete, has died from the coronavirus. “

He went on to say that the NFL’s decision was “frankly political.”

“They have already become a political arm of the Democratic Party,” Brewer said. “All of their posts support leftist policies from top to bottom. Suddenly going gay during Pride Week in support of Black Lives Matter – despite [BLM’s] total assault on the nuclear family and against Christian principles in the nation. The NFL has made it clear where it stands on these social issues and what it wants to support. They have invested millions of advertising dollars in these social causes to corrupt the minds of our children. And those who admire the players and this league, and those who love the sport, are now forced to adopt these leftist policies, and either adopt them or turn off the television. “

Brewer, it should be noted, is not the only one challenging the NFL vaccination protocols.

In late July, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins said the very restrictive measures his league has put in place are “make me question my future in the NFL.

Tyler Conway, a reporter for the Bleacher Report, condemned Hopkins for his comments, saying the vaccine “is freedom” and the NFL “shows its freedom as a private enterprise to punish dangerous people who refuse to vaccinate and put their community at risk.”

Left-wing commentator Jon Pavlovitz said to the athlete he is “free to sit” and should “do better”.

Some, however, defended those who oppose the policy, noting that while it is not technically a warrant, it nonetheless functions as such.

“[I’m] glad Hopkins is defending himself, “wrote OutKick reporter Gary Sheffield, Jr.” Pro-forced vaxxers are going to pretend he doesn’t have to be vaccinated, which is completely false. You hang her professional life above her head to make a decision that you support. It is unconstitutional.
